Ze'ev
Jabotinsky (1880-1940) was a writer, orator, and
Zionist leader. Born in Russia, he worked to
develop Jewish self-defense units and to promote
the revival of Hebrew. Jabotinsky formed the
World Union of Zionist Revisionists when he felt
the official Zionists were not aggressive enough
against the British. He founded the Haganah.
